Josh Koral
Owner / Creative Director / Art Director
Josh is in complete charge of operations. He is an Emmy Award-winning Art Director who has been in the business for over 30 years, working on over 20 feature films, hundreds of television commercials and countless corporate and display projects. A former science teacher, he is singled out as a creative problem-solver and is well-respected by peers and clients alike.

Bill Swanson
Designer / Project Manager / Partner
Bill is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and has over 20 years experience working in the film, entertainment, event and theatrical industries. He is our in-house art director and project manager, specializing in all aspects of design from concept to finish. Extensive knowledge of materials and fabrication methods inform his process to bring ideas to life with creative solutions. Bill is also an accomplished fine artist and exhibits his painting nationally.

Aaron Shores
Draftsman / Project Manager / Partner
Originally a theater technician, Aaron quickly moved up the ranks to become Assistant Technical Director at TheatreWorks, then went on to run scenery shops throughout the Bay Area, including Berkeley Rep and RODA. Eventually lured into film production, he worked as prop maker, special effects technician and construction coordinator for films and tv, including a stint as Foreman for NBC’s “Trauma.” His can-do attitude, along with his wealth of knowledge of materials and fabrication methods, provides the backbone of our team.
Eli Koral
Lead Carpenter / Project Manager / Partner
Having worked at Acme Scenery on and off since birth, Eli is an enthusiastic craftsman who is highly skilled working in wood, metals, plastics as well as graphics and design work. He is the son of our fearless leader, Josh Koral and has literally grown up immersed in the film business and is well known for his attention to detail, his strong work ethic, and great sense of humor.

Letty Samonte
Master Scenic Painter
Letty received her BFA with honors in Illustration in 2001 from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. After completing her studies, she moved to NYC. It was there that she worked full time as a faux finishing artist and muralist for interiors and was introduced to scenic painting for the theatre. In 2003, she worked as a scenic artist and scenic design assistant at the Williamstown Theatre Festival.
She relocated to San Francisco in 2004 and has been working as a painter in the Bay Area ever since. Letty was a staff scenic artist for the American Conservatory Theatre from 2009 until their scene shop closure in 2015. She has been working as the lead scenic at Acme since January 2017.
Matthew Stancik
Installation Supervisor / Shop Foreman
Matt is a master craftsman who has a reputation for precise and fastidious work. He was technical director for the San Francisco Opera Center before joining Acme, has a keen eye for detail and is uncompromising in the quality of his work.
